| On things I have done before
I remember when I was in middle school, I've always told myself to write down everything that had happened to me during the day. However, " inconsistency " had always been my unconquerable enemy that it always had stop me after few days of writing. What can I say ..being unindustrious and lazy is the natural inclination of humans, right? But, one of my senior friends, Pete, had helped me to bring back the enthusiasm of writing journals or articles again. You may wonder how he did it because not even my dearest mom could persuade me to write some brief compositions before. Well, the reason is easy, writing can help me to express my inner feelings deeper to the place where I can truly understand myself for doing things in my teen-age life. So, from now on, I have made this pact to myself that I will write a journal every week just to fulfill the emptiness I feel sometimes in my life; and also practice writing what Pete calls the " FOB English " of mine. Yet, take my words, my English is getting better and better each day, and I start loving it more than I used to. Reggie Soang -- March 27th, 2001 |
