New Equipment
In order to get in better shape for golf, and shed the extra weight from Taiwan, I purchased some exercise equipment for home use. My main goals are to improve core strength and flexibility. The following were recommended by my friend Reggie Soang who is also a personal trainer.
The stability ball allows for a lot of balance exercises so that those obscure muscles get worked. This should help with balance during the full swing.
The Bosu ball can be used in a lot of the same balance exercises as the stability ball, but with the flat base, can also be used for step up and jumping exercises. It can also be turned upside down to do pushups on.
The medicine ball is multi functional and can be used for rotational exercises that simulate the golf swing.
The black resistance tube on the left is light resistance, while the red one on the right is medium resistance. I use the tubes to stretch, squat, and also to simulate the golf swing.
