Bridgestone Tour B330

btourb330_large.JPGI was given a dozen Bridgestone Tour B330’s recently, and since I didn’t have a preferred ball, I decided to give them a try. The Bridgestone B330’s received a gold medal in the GolfDigest 2007 Hot List, and as far as price goes, it’s on par with the popular Titleist ProV1 and ProV1x balls at $35 a dozen.

The B330 has a speed elasticity core that supposedly adds distance, Seamless Cover Technology that allows for improved aerodynamics since the ball is better covered with dimples, and a urethane cover that helps with feel and durability. From my personal experience the ball played very well. I noticed a significant improvement from the Pinnacle Gold Distance and other random balls that I used. I consitently had more distance on drives and iron shots, but I think the B330 is a bit on the hard side. I didn’t get much feel around the greens. Nonetheless, an overall great ball.
