The Last Supper
[12.13.03] The KSA Board celebrated the end of the first semester with a dinner at Jeollado, a Korean-Japanese restaurant in East Village. We got ourselves a private party room, which was dimly lit and not too pretty, but served our purpose of having a group dinner in an intimate setting. While we may not be the "tightly-knit" family that previous boards have been or other clubs may be, I've learned to appreciate the diversity within the group, as cheesy and sentimental as that may sound.

Junction Boys
[11.28.03] After two years of embarrassing defeats at the hands of Team Others, Team Hoching was finally able to win, making a strong statement with a 70-20 victory in Hoching Bowl III. A combination of factors contributed to the success of our team: the Indo boys Neeraj and Rondeep anchoring the D and O lines, Reggie making big hits as linebacker, and the unselfish play of Wally, Head, Nigi, and Jeff who allowed me and Warren to do what we love best: score touchdowns.

The Death of a Store
[11.9.03] First, the displays inside were neater and the store seemed cleaner. Employees began to don red uniforms. Then came the alarming signs: jacked up prices, middle-aged Hispanic cashier women replaced by high school ones, and no more paper bags inside plastic ones. When the high school girl wrapped my coffee in a plastic bag with a Morton Williams logo on it rather than with a small paper bag, I mourned the tragic death of the University Food Market.

Through the Host's Eyes
[11.9.03] My room was alive for a night as my good homeboy Warren and his girlfriend Jacky stayed the night in New York after having arrived around 4am from Boston. The nice couple bought me brunch the next morning at Le Monde to thank me for the pit stop. How sweet.

Building Castles in the Sky
[10.18.03] It took 2 years and a 250th Anniversary to get me to make my way up to Baker Field to watch a Columbia football game. Columbia had the uncanny ability to allow every UPenn pass to be completed. I was soon bored and focused my attention on the pretty backdrop landscape. That soon got boring and I left after the first half.

Happiness Comes in These Colors
[10.4.03] I never knew a rug could make such a big difference in my life. Maybe it's because my life has become so boring and meaningless that buying a 4x6 piece of colorful synthetic material qualifies as an exciting moment. But rather than put things in perspective, I think I'll just enjoy this fine product from Crate&Barrel.

Brown-noser
[9.26.03] John and I, along with Princeton KASA prez Jin, drove up to Brown University to attend the first semester KACIL conference. There, I finally got to meet up witih the new Brown Harry, who transferred over the summer from NYU. He seemed peaceful and was still feeling the place out, but he and I both knew that New York was still the place to be. Thanks for the wonderful breakfast, H-dawg.

The Perils of Wooden Chopsticks
[9.13.03] My KSA experience so far has had its share of ups and downs, but for the most part, things have been going fairly smoothly. The Chusuk BBQ, moved indoors to Lerner Party Space due to the rain, went very well as we sold out and served almost 150 people. I had trouble serving japchae and kimchi with a pair of square wooden chopsticks because they would leave a big dent on my ring finger; I ended up serving the bulgogi.

I share my favorite seat with 30 other people
[9.08.03] Drinking excessively in a short period of time can often send you running to a seat like the one pictured above. In the past few days, I have found myself a frequent occupant of the third toilet in the Wien 3 bathroom and while it's not the cleanest place to hang out, it certainly has helped me to get ahead in my history reading.
