A Magical Night
As the car pulled up next to your house, my heart was already beating faster than the speed of light. I rang your doorbell and waited for you to come out like a little prince would do in a fairy tale when he picks his princess up. I was nervous and excited. What do I say to her when she comes out? How do I compliment her without being cheesy? How do I let her know that she was the only princess in my fairy tale? So many questions… You finally opened the door and gave me a warm smile that stayed in my head through the night. The smile was like the answer for everything; you were gorgeous.

At the hotel lobby, where the cocktail-hour took place, we walked around and greeted people. I was the luckiest person among all my guy friends because you were definitely the prettiest comparing to their dates. Remember the dirty look that “ someone’s girlfriend “ gave you and my ex-girlfriend’s “ I am better than Reggie’s new white girl friend “ attitude she gave us when we walked past her? We just laughed the awkward situations off; they were the good laughs we shared.

The night got more exciting once we started dancing. We danced through the crowd and stepped on each other because the place was so crowded. You told me you hit a girl by accident. Well…you should’ve knocked her out. Why? Because it would have been really funny and you were also the boss of the dance floor. I remember the slow dances we had. You leaned your head against mine and I felt so good about having you so close. Thoughts of us being together appeared in my head, but after thinking about it for a while, I told myself to stop dreaming because you were probably just tired or doing your job, being my date. I have to admit, you were irresistible.

The night had finally come to an end after dropping you off at home and giving you the last hug. On the way home after saying good-bye to you, I couldn’t stop thinking about the night that we had just spent together. Your smile and energy made my prom night special. I will never forget the time we had no matter where we will end up in the future.

It was a magical night.
